The El Niño Rey Dental Mission conducts two trips each year to Guerrero, Mexico. During these week-long trips, a team of volunteer dentists, hygenists and assistants operates a mobile dental clinic in the remote mountain villages of Guerrero. The dentists utilize portable dental units to perform restorative procedures in addition to cleanings and extractions. During a typical one week trip, the dental team performs 350 to 700 extractions, 200 to 400 cleanings and 200 to 400 fillings. Many of our patients come to us after suffering for years with painful decay or other dental problems. The gratitude expressed by the people we serve is overwhelming.
